Texas Roadtrip – December 2008

We’re on our way this December to hit the rest of the National Park units in Texas:

• Chamizal National Memorial
• Big Bend National Park
• Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River
• Amistad National Recreation Area
• Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Site
• Padre Island National Seashore
• Big Thicket National Preserve
• San Antonio Missions National Historic Park
• Lyndon B Johnson National Historic Park
• Fort Davis National Historic Site
• Guadalupe Mountains National Park

We will also hit The Alamo (curiously, not a unit of the National Park Service) and spend New Year’s Eve and part of New Year’s Day in Austin visit Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.

We’ll provide a summary and pictures after we return.
